Considering Therapy? Welcome.

Beginning therapy can be a response to many different experiences—from navigating a crisis or difficult transition to feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about one’s sense of purpose. Sometimes, there is a specific concern that brings someone to therapy; other times, there is simply a sense that something needs to change.

We may find ourselves wanting to ignore, hide, or reject the parts of ourselves we consider least desirable. We may also develop ways of coping that once served an important purpose but no longer feel helpful. Therapy can create space to approach these parts of ourselves with curiosity rather than judgment, and to better understand the experiences and patterns that have shaped us.

Through this process, we can begin to develop a different relationship with ourselves—one grounded in greater understanding, compassion, and acceptance. Therapy offers an opportunity to make room for the whole self and to move toward a life that feels more connected, meaningful, and authentic.
